MMAjunkie and USA TODAY Sports had a photographer at each of those shows, which featured 457 different fights. Some of the sport’s most epic and iconic moments are captured through a lens. With another year of octagon action complete, it’s time to look back the best photos from the past 12 months. In spite of dropping a unanimous decision to fellow strawweight Jessica Andrade (16-5 MMA, 7-3 UFC), Hill (6-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) proved to be a tough opponent throughout a barnburner that not only earned “Fight of the Night” honors but is already being dubbed by some as the best fight in the history of the UFC’s young women’s 115-pound division. A win, of course, would have been preferable, but in the grand scheme of things, Hill saw the upside of going the distance against a strong opponent who’s now also the next title challenger . “I don’t think there are many people who can hit like her, who are that strong,” Hill said. “She has huge (trapezius), so that’s why she’s a hook machine. And one thing that surprised me was her ability to close that distance with the hooks.

Tecia Torres says Rawlings was good opponent after layoff but expects top-10 foe next

In their second meeting, Torres (8-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) once again came out on top and made easy work of Rawlings (7-6 MMA, 2-3 UFC) to earn a unanimous-decision win after a 10-month octagon layoff. The opponent she faced at UFC Fight Night 104, Torres said, was pretty much the same she remembered from the opening round of “The Ultimate Fighter 20” strawweight tournament in 2014. The fight itself, however, seems to have showed a positive difference. “It felt like a similar opponent; I just felt like I was way more dominant this fight,” Torres told MMAjunkie. “The first fight was only a two-round fight in the (‘TUF 20’) house.

Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos HOUSTON – Niko Price picked up his second stoppage win in as many trips to the octagon at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 104 event, but he was anything but satisfied with his performance. “I’m actually upset with myself, man,” Price told MMAjunkie after the fight. “I could have done that without taking any of the damage I did, so I’m not happy.” Price (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and fellow welterweight Alex Morono (13-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) stood toe-to-toe in the featured UFC Fight Pass-streamed fight of UFC Fight Night 104, which took place at Toyota Center in Houston. The bout preceded additional prelims and a main card on FS1. Houston’s own Morono drew first blood after scoring with powerful strikes that sent Price to the mat twice in the opening round.
