This past month, Dollaway told MMAjunkie he was losing money by taking a fight against Francis Carmont less than at UFC Fight Night 41 in Berlin. But his investment turned out to be a wise one. “Things are moving in the right direction,” he today told MMAjunkie.

UFC middleweight Mark Munoz isn’t going anywhere, even if it’ll be a while before he returns. Despite a 1-3 record his past four fights, and a knee injury in his most recent loss, Munoz (13-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC), 36, has signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC. The fighter on Thursday announced the deal on multiple social media platforms. The UFC later confirmed the news.

UFC Fight Night 41 drug tests come back clean

Drug tests from UFC Fight Night 41 have come back negative for performance-enhancers and drugs of abuse. UFC officials today told MMAjunkie that a total of 20 tests were issued for the May 31 card, with all 20 fighters tested post-event. That includes event headliner Gegard Mousasi and Mark Munoz. UFC Fight Night 41 took place at O2 World Berlin in Germany and streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

BERLIN – Middleweight Mark Munoz isn’t hanging up his gloves after a quick loss to Gegard Mousasi at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 41. Despite dropping his third fight in four outings, Munoz said he’ll soldier on. “You’ve just go to pick up the pieces and keep going,” he said at the post-event press conference, which took place at O2 World Berlin in Germany. “It was a tough loss, but I think it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, but it’s how many times you pick yourself back up after a loss or a failure. “So that’s what I’ll do.” Munoz (13-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC), 36, announced prior to fighting Mousasi (35-4-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) that he would try to win the bout using his wrestling, and he followed through from the opening bell of the headlining fight on FOX Sports 1. Unfortunately for him, Mousasi came well prepared and stuffed his initial takedown attempts.
