Ronda Rousey signed with the William Morris Endeavor talent agency earlier this year, and now she has her first major movie role. The UFC's women's bantamweight champion has landed a role in the upcoming "Expendables 3" action flick. Screenplay writer and star Sylvester Stallone announced the news late Tuesday on his official Twitter account. Rousey (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is coming off yet another first-round armbar victory. She stopped Liz Carmouche in February in the main event of UFC 157, the first women's fight in UFC history. She currently is taping Season 18 of "The Ultimate Fighter," which she'll coach opposite her fiercest rival, Miesha Tate . The two then will meet in a rematch for Rousey's title at UFC 168 in December in Las Vegas. It is unknown when Rousey's work on "Expendables 3" will begin or how extensive a role she will have in the film, which also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jackie Chan, Dolph Lundgren, Steven Seagal and former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture – essentially a who's who of Hollywood action stars.

While the procedure to fuse three discs together went off without a hitch, Rutten recently told MMAWeekly.com that he is still experiencing problems with weakness and muscle deformation. “I’ve been saying before the surgery that I thought it was my neck, but I also thought there was a blockage between my neck and my shoulder blade,” said Rutten. “They denied it, but if I do 50 push-ups, I will lose all my power 10 minutes later. An MRI revealed extensive ligament damage in his left elbow that will require Nogueira to undergo surgery on Friday. Nogueira also required surgery following a Kimura submission loss to Frank Mir in late 2011. That surgery required 16 screws in his humerus, but Nogueira still managed to return to the Octagon 10 months later to defeat Dave Herman.

Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier was one of the most anticipated UFC arrivals in recent memory. He’s been extremely successful at heavyweight, amassing a spotless 12-0 professional record in mixed martial arts, but now has aspirations of fighting his way down to light heavyweight. Cormier’s Octagon debut was a grinding victory over Frank Mir at UFC on Fox 7, which only reinforced the idea that a drop to 205 pounds might be the best move for his future, especially considering his friend and teammate Cain Velasquez is the current UFC heavyweight champion. Cormier and Velasquez had danced around the idea of having to one day fight each other until recently when Cormier committed to the idea of fighting in the light heavyweight division instead of just toying with the idea. “The truth of the matter is when I am (moving to 205 pounds) now,” Cormier said in a recent group media interview. “It’s not when I do, if I am
