It was a razor-thin, back-and-forth battle that all came down to whether or not the judges scored the second round 10-9 or 10-8 in Baesman’s favor

After a decisive loss to Fabricio Werdum a little more than a week ago, Travis Browne on Monday broke his silence and offered a message to his fans. Browne (15-2-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Werdum (18-5-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the main event of UFC on FOX 11 in Orlando, Fla., on April 19. The loss snapped a three-fight streak of “Knockout of the Night” wins and sent Browne packing from the arena with a 90-day medical suspension, plus a broken hand. But on Monday, Browne said he’s excited to return. “Thank you guys for the support!!” he wrote on his Instagram feed. “I’ll be back as soon as I’m all healed up.

UFC on FOX 11 salaries: Fabricio Werdum leads near-$1 million payroll

Main-event winner and veteran heavyweight Fabricio Werdum was the top earner at this past weekend’s UFC on FOX 11 event, where he netted a $175,000 disclosed payday. MMAjunkie today obtained the list of disclosed payouts from the Florida State Boxing Commission. UFC on FOX 11 took place April 19 at Orlando’s Amway Center. The main card aired on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Donald Cerrone: Fighters don’t get paid enough? Just sign on the dotted line

While it seems fighter pay is always a hot topic in the world of MMA, at least one UFC lightweight just doesn’t understand the concern. “I hear guys talking about they don’t get paid enough,” Donald Cerrone told MMAjunkie. “If you want to just sign on the dotted line, I’ll be your huckleberry. I’m ready to go.” Cerrone (23-6 MMA, 10-3 UFC) fought most recently at this past weekend’s UFC on FOX 11 event, where he met Brazilian striker Edson Barboza in a heavily-anticipated matchup between two dynamic standup artists. It was Barboza who actually looked incredibly relaxed in the early going, and his speed appeared as if it was going to provide him a clear path to victory.
