The third episode of the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter saw the TV ratings drop off following a week two upswing. The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate opened to the lowest viewership of any season of the venerable reality series, but Wednesday night’s Episode 3 notched a new low point for the series at 639,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen TV ratings

The Ultimate Fighter 18 TV Ratings Up 14-Percent Week-Over-Week

The second episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate bucked a historical trend, becoming only the fifth season in the life of the reality series to improve its audience from episode one to episode two. Episode two, which featured Team Tate’s Julianna Pena upsetting Team Rousey’s Shayna Baszler , scored an audience of 870,000 viewers, improving upon the premier episode’s 762,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Ratings. That represents a 14-percent increase in viewership week-over-week.

Check out the video as Moraga (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) discusses his turnaround, which eventually led to Saturday’s network-televised title fight with flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (17-2-1 MMA, 5-1-1 UFC) at Seattle’s KeyArena. In the segment, Moraga explains why he’s been “an underdog my whole life,” and why he has a handful of people to thank for keeping him out of jail. Randy Couture on Fight Master: Bellator MMA: “Everything Went Fantastic”

UFC Hall of Famer Randy “The Natural” Couture is one of four coaches on the upcoming season of Fight Master: Bellator MMA . The Spike TV original series debuts on June 19, and Couture says everything in filming went “fantastic.” “It’s going to start airing the nineteenth of June on Spike TV. Everything went fantastic,” Couture told MMAWeekly.com. Thirty-two welterweight hopefuls will compete for a $100,000 prize and an automatic entry into a future Bellator tournament. “I was very excited about the level of competition and the level of talent that we had involved in the show. I was also very pleased with the direction of the show,” said Couture. “Bertram (van Munster) and Elise (Doganieri) are well-known Emmy-award-winning producers with The Amazing Race , and this is kind of their baby. I’m excited to see some of the edit and how it comes out,” he said. Couture coached opposite Chuck Liddell in the debut season of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV in 2006. In comparison to The Ultimate Fighter , Couture believes Fight Master got it right by focusing on the contestants
