UFC officials on Saturday announced the Chinese version of The Ultimate Fighter via its Chinese-language website. Not surprisingly, TUF China is kicking off with a search for fighters from some of the lighter weight classes. UFC officials are asking for featherweight, lightweight and welterweight fighters to try out for the show’s inaugural edition. Tryouts are currently set for July 21 at the Beijing Metropark Lido Hotel, July 25 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and Aug. 3 at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in Macao

Officials are searching for featherweight, lightweight and welterweight hopefuls to try out for the show, which will air on the Chinese-language Liaoning TV. North American broadcast plans weren’t announced. Officials today posted the announcement on the UFC-China website . The cast eventually will feature 16 fighters, though not necessarily with competitors from all the above weight classes. Head coaches haven’t been determined.
