Angele Lee, ONE Championship standout, recently penned an article for The Players’ Tribune , where she revealed she attempted to take her own life back in 2017. It was initially believed that Lee was involved in a car accident that forced her out of her then-scheduled bout. However, Lee now reveals that the accident was, in fact, intentional, and an attempt at taking her own life. “My car crash in November 2017 was not an accident. The hype around Victoria Lee appeared to be justified this past Friday. Lee, the 16-year-old sister of ONE Championship atomweight champion Angela Lee and ONE lightweight champ Christian Lee, made her pro MMA debut at ONE Championship 129: Fists of Fury in Singapore. She did not disappoint. Lee (1-0) got a bit of a test from Sunisa Srisen (4-2) in the opening round, but eventually settled into her wheelhouse on the canvas. In the second round, it didn’t take Lee long to bring the fight back to the mat, where she took Srisen’s back and tapped her with a rear-naked choke.
