He nearly found himself without a single belt. In June 2014, Branch faced fellow veteran Jesse Taylor at WSOF 10, with the promotion’s inaugural middleweight belt on the line. It was Taylor who jumped out to the quick start, securing a guillotine choke in the opening 20 seconds of the contest. But Branch was able to outlast the hold before ending the fight shortly after with a Brabo choke of his own.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission today released to MMAjunkie the medical suspensions following the event, which took place June 21 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The event’s main card aired on NBC Sports Network following prelims on MMAjunkie. In the co-main event, Karakhanyan suffered a rib injury and couldn’t answer the bell for the third round, giving the victory, and relinquishing his title, to new champion Rick Glenn.
