Today though, Madadi (14-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) may have asserted himself as a fighter to watch in the UFC’s lightweight division with a big victory over Yan Cabral (12-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 87. Related: UFC Fight Night 87 play-by-play and live results In the third round, Madadi put together a big combination that stunned Cabral and pushed him to the fence, where he dropped punches on him with pinpoint accuracy to get a rare standing TKO . Reza Madadi ROTTERDAM, Netherlands – It took almost every bit of stamina he had, but Reza Madadi didn’t let up when he finally landed the big shot that took Yan Cabral out. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 87 event at Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. Madadi (14-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) was quick to shoot for the takedown, only to be stuffed in his attempt. Moments later, Cabral (12-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) tried for the same and was also denied.
