Video: Fighter scores Cage Warriors KO record after glove touch Yannick Bahati put himself at the top of the record books in one of the world longest standing MMA promotions on Friday – but it wasn’t without controversy. At Cage Warriors 186 from Indigo at The O2 in London, Bahati (10-7-1) needed just four seconds to finish Charles Joyner (4-2-1) after he opened the light heavyweight contest with a massive right hand that led to the instant knockout. The punch, however, came after the pair seemingly went to touch gloves then the blow came moments thereafter. Nevertheless, Bahati was elated the organization announced the stoppage set a new mark for the fastest knockout in company history.

Bellator Europe 5 results: Melvin Manhoef rolls to first-round finish, ponders future

If this is it for Melvin Manhoef , what a way to finish. Manhoef, the 43-year-old ageless wonder, was victorious Saturday night, defeating Yannick Bahati by first-round TKO in the Bellator Europe 5 main event at Allianz Cloud in Milan. As has been the norm, Manhoef entered the bout with plenty working against him. Bahati, 29, was 14 years younger, 6 inches taller and possessed a 7-inch reach advantage. But none of that mattered once Manhoef (31-14-1 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) threw a hard right hand straight down the pipe. It wasn’t so much that the punch landed flush as it simply landed with enough force while Bahati (9-4 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) threw a kick, catching him off balance and dropping him to the mat.

Bellator officials today announced that the Oct. 12 event – which takes place at Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy – will feature three separate cards: “Bellator Europe 5: Milan,” Bellator 230 and a Bellator kickboxing event. Two notable names are set to square off in the headliner of Bellator 230 with former middleweight champ Rafael Carvalho (16-3 MMA, 7-2 BMMA) moving up to 205 pounds to take on Vadim Nemkov (10-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA)
