Even before he fought Masanori Kanehara at UFC Fight Night 71, bantamweight Rani Yahya said he was in a bad spot. But the fallout from the fight was not limited to a rough performance. When Yahya (21-8 MMA, 6-2 UFC) steps into the cage tonight against newcomer Matthew Lopez (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 91, it’ll be his first octagon bout in a year. He said he was kept out of the rotation of active fighters after the issues he faced in his bout against Kanehara.
