It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that a fighter hailing from the soccer-happy nation of Brazil would find a way to draw comparisons between the two sports. Ahead of his UFC debut, undefeated Brazilian Felipe Silva (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who meets Canada’s Shane Campbell (12-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) at UFC on FOX 21 on Saturday in enemy territory, said he’s happy to be in the promotion – which he likens to soccer’s elite. “I’m very happy to be under contract with the UFC,” Silva told MMAjunkie.
