ST. LOUIS – Michael Chandler now is a two-time Bellator champion – and he went about it in emphatic fashion. With one monstrous right hand on the button, Chandler (15-3 MMA, 12-3 BMMA) knocked out Patricky Freire (16-8 MMA, 9-7 BMMA) in the first round to win Bellator’s vacant lightweight title. The belt was vacated earlier this year by Will Brooks, who signed with the UFC. The vacant lightweight title bout was the co-main event of today’s Bellator 157 event at Scottrade Center in St.
