Although Silva (35-13-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) managed to sneak in a few punches on the way to the mat, it was all Sonnen (30-15-1 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) as he blanketed the Brazilian for a unanimous decision with 30-27, 30-27 and 30-26 scores. The light heavyweight bout was the main event of today’s Bellator NYC event at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
