ABU DHABI – UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier said he plans on using his losses to his advantage ahead of his fight with unbeaten champ Khabib Nurmagomedov . The pair will meet in the main event of UFC 242 at The Arena at Yas Island, with Poirier (25-5 MMA, 17-4 UFC) bidding to become the first man to hand Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 13-0 UFC) a professional MMA defeat. And, speaking to Dan Hardy in front of fans and media at Wednesday’s open workouts, Poirier admitted he’s enjoying fight week, but said his focus is firmly fixed on the job at hand. “It’s all about Saturday, (but) I’m in the moment for sure,” Poirier said.
