Former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks is on a UFC weight loss program. After five months of emailing and hearing nothing from the promotion’s matchmaking staff, Hendricks (18-8 MMA, 13-8 UFC) hired a manager and got what he hopes is a roadmap to a new contract. To earn a deal, Hendricks said he has to prove he’s capable of making weight for the 170-pound division. His first benchmark is to get down to 195 pounds within three months
