In a recent video live chat (recorded by YouTube user MMA World ), John Kavanagh was asked about the former UFC dual champion allegedly walking away from mixed martial arts. “Is Conor retired?” Kavanagh said. “Yes, he is as far as I can tell. That’s what he said, isn’t it?” A follow-up comment suggested that Kavanagh is the only person who could convince McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) to fight again. Kavanagh, the SBG Ireland head coach, laughed at that notion and disagreed.
