Tyron Woodley is edging closer to a return to the octagon, he but isn’t interested in fighting an up-and-comer. With most of the welterweight division currently booked, the surging Leon Edwards might be the best option for the former 170-pound champion, but Woodley isn’t too keen on a potential matchup. “I don’t have to fight Leon Edwards,” Woodley said on Brendan Schaub’s “ Food Truck Diaries “. “Leon Edwards is trying to build his name, and I ain’t a gatekeeper for someone to build their name off.” While he recognizes the work Edwards, who’s currently on an eight-fight winning streak, has been putting in, Woodley would rather rematch the man who took his title, Kamaru Usman, or fight former interim champ Colby Covington, whom he almost ended up fighting on numerous occasions.
