He got his wish with a matchup against Jake Matthews at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale, but visa problems forced him to withdraw from the “International Fight Week” event. Ray (19-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC) said the cancellation was a disappointment, but the Scottish lightweight still has his sights set on breaking out of the European market. “I’m hoping to market my name across here,” Ray said. “I’m well known in Europe now because all three of my fights have been over there, but I’m still under the radar in the United States and Canada.
