Next week’s UFC Fight Night 96 event has lost one of its main-card fighters. Sergio Pettis (14-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is injured and has been forced out of his bout with fellow flyweight Louis Smolka (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC). His trainer, Duke Roufus, today announced the scratch due to a “minor injury” (via Instagram ). UFC officials haven’t made a formal announcement: UFC Fight Night 96 takes place Oct. 1 at Moda Center in Portland, Ore.
