MELBOURNE, Australia –  Ricky Simon earned the biggest victory of his career at UFC 234 when he outworked bantamweight mainstay Rani Yahya over three rounds. Simon (15-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) utilized a near-perfect strategy against one of the most dangerous grapplers in the division and came out with a unanimous decision victory over Yahya (26-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) to extend his winning streak to eight fights and complete his transition from a prospect-to-watch to a potential future contender in the weight class. The 135-pound bout was part of the pay-per-view main card at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. It followed prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass.
