Jon Jones is one step closer to reclaiming his former status as MMA’s top pound-for-pound fighter after UFC 235. This past Saturday, Jones (24-1 MMA, 18-1 UFC) made the first successful defense in his current light heavyweight title reign when he dominated Anthony Smith for five rounds to earn a lopsided unanimous decision in the UFC 235 pay-per-view headliner from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “Bones” is undefeated in his past 16 fights, which is tied for the longest run in UFC history without a loss. After the win, questions once again arose about whether anyone can truly challenge Jones’ dominance. For that, Jones has made a respectable move up the pound-for-pound list, past one of this fellow champions.
