Saturday night, Jairzinho Rozenstruik ’s out-of-nowhere finish of Alistair Overeem was met with a loud ovation from those in attendance at UFC on ESPN 7 in Washington, D.C. Down on all three judges’ scorecards and with the clock winding down, Rozenstruik (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) finished Overeem (45-18 MMA, 11-7 UFC) with an overhand right. The stoppage came at 4:56 of Round 5.
