NEW YORK CITY — The public got their first taste of what’s in store at UFC 244 at Thursday’s press conference. Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz showed up for the event at The Rooftop at Pier 17, which promoted their main event for the Nov. 2 card at Madison Square Garden. And while the presser itself lacked much in the way of fireworks, as the duo were respectful to one another, the intensity of the staredown after the fight was all the hint you needed as to what’s going to go down when the top-ranked welterweights step into the octagon to determine who is “the baddest mother (expletive) in the game.” There’s still a month and a half left until the big fight
