After edging him out by split decision in their first fight at UFC 297, middleweight champion Du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC) left no doubt when he picked up a dominant decision win over Strickland (29-7 MMA, 16-7 UFC) in Saturday’s headliner at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. Du Plessis obliged to Strickland’s pre-fight pact by predominantly keeping the fight on the feet, breaking his nose in the process.
