Arruda da Silva was supposed to make his UFC debut on June 2019 in a middleweight bout against Deron Winn at UFC on ESPN+ 12. However, Arruda da Silva was pulled from the fight at the time for undisclosed reasons. Arruda da Silva was unable to reduce the suspension after taking his case to an independent arbitrator on May 27
