The UFC closed out its April schedule on Saturday with UFC on ESPN 55 , which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. There were seven stoppage results on the card, but the most emphatic came in the main event when Alex Perez (24-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC) put himself back on the map as a flyweight contender with a second-round knockout of Matheus Nicolau (19-4-1 MMA, 7-3 UFC).
