CES MMA 28 took place at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., and the main card – which featured three first-round knockouts – aired on AXS TV. In the headliner, former Bellator MMA title challenger Rick Hawn (20-4) cruised in a shutout unanimous-decision victory over Derek Loffer (9-3). However, earlier in the night, the event saw a string of first-round finishes. One came in the co-headliner, when Luis Felix (13-8) picked up his fourth win in five fights as he tagged late replacement and fellow lightweight Reggie Merriweather (6-6) with a kick to the neck.
