Former WEC champion Mike Brown is returning to action at UFC on Fox Sports 1: 1 on Aug. 17 in Boston. He’ll square off with Akira Corassani , according to UFC officials. It’s been a year since Brown (26-8) last fought. He defeated Daniel Pineda at UFC 146. Brown, 37, had contemplated retirement following the victory over Pineda, but ultimately decided against it and signed a new five-fight contract with the UFC . He has been sidelined since that fight, however, due to having the second neck fusion surgery of his career.
