The contest served as the main event of Friday’s CES MMA 32 event, which took place at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., and aired on AXS TV. The powerful striking of de Freitas was avoided by Curtis in the opening moments of the bout before he uncorked a counter right that stunned his foe.
