Fans were expecting a heavyweight slugfest between Justin Ledet and Brice Ritani-Coe in the main event of Legacy FC 55. Instead, the fight ended in unsatisfying fashion after Ritani-Coe was unable to continue due to an eye poke early in Round 1. The event took place at Arena Theatre in Houston. The main card aired on AXS TV following untelevised prelims. The two big men looked happy to trade on the feet early in the fight, but a Ledet (6-0) jab slid off the side of the face of Ritani-Coe (4-3). As his hand continued past Ritani-Coe’s face, Ledet’s thumb dug into the eye.
