Yoshitaka Naito spoiled Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke ’s chance at hometown glory today at ONE Championship 43 when he submitted the Thai fighter in his home country to capture the organization’s strawweight title. The event streamed in North America as an online-pay-per-view from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Amphoe Pak Kret, Nonthaburi Province, Thailand. Having local product Amnuaysirichoke (6-1) put his belt on the line in the main event was a natural fit, but the result certainly wasn’t what he wanted. Naito (11-0) bloodied him up and in the fourth round and locked up a fight-ending rear-naked choke to claim the title. The opening frame looked as if it was going to set the tone of the entire fight. Amnuaysirichoke, 37, battered Naito, 32, with hard leg kicks that put the Japanese challenger on wobbly legs.
