Often, LFA headliners view their title conquest or defenses as gateways to the UFC octagon. But getting that UFC call is not the end-all of LFA lightweight champion Robert Watley ’s existence. Sure, that’s easier said than done, but Watley (9-1) has backed that up – twice, even. Looking to defend his title for a second time when he returns tonight against Brandon Jenkins (10-4), Watley said he’s received short-notice calls to step in against two different octagon opponents. In his most recent camp, it was Mike Perry. This time, he said, it was Beneil Dariush.
