In the night’s featured MMA matchup, American grappling ace Garry Tonon continued his rise up the promotion’s featherweight rankings by defeating Japanese former title challenger Koyomi Matsushita . Tonon used his grappling to totally dominated Matsushita through the first two rounds and, though the Japanese fighter rallied late in the third, Tonon’s mastery on the mat ensured he earned a unanimous decision verdict from the three judges at cageside.
