Philippe Nover PASAY, Philippines – The journey to Philipe Nover ’s first UFC victory began in 2008 and ended today in the Philippines with a split decision victory over Yui Chul Nam . The featherweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 66 event at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. With Nam (18-5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) a danger on the feet, Nover quickly looked to get the fight to the floor. Nover (11-5-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) drove Nam to the cage and worked to get the fight fully to the floor with Nam sitting upright against the cage. Nam worked back to his feet but Nover stuck to him and continued to try for takedowns against the cage before picking Nam up and slamming him to the mat
