LAS VEGAS – In a performance that was light on excitement and not even especially heavy on action, Idlemar Alcantara did just enough to edge out Richardson Moreira in a plodding three-round bout. With Moreira (7-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) intent on getting the fight to the floor, and Alcantara (21-7 MMA, 4-2 UFC) intent on staying upright, the edge went to Alcantara, and so did two of the three judges, resulting in a split decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) for Alcantara. The middleweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 183 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 1 and a main card on pay-per-view
