Matt Bessette has a new opponent for next month’s CES MMA 37’s co-main event. With Pedro Gonzalez (11-5) injured, Bessette (19-7) will now fight replacement Stephen Cervantes (6-1), officials today announced. CES MMA 37, which features three title fights, takes place Aug. 12 at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., and the main card airs on AXS TV. Bessette, a former Bellator fighter, is riding a four-fight winning streak. The 31-year-old, who scored a submission victory over Ran Weathers at CES MMA 36, has six wins in his past seven fights, and they all came via stoppage.
