UFC 318: Holloway vs. Poirier 3 took place on July 19 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The event was headlined by a lightweight trilogy bout between former interim champion  Dustin Poirier and former featherweight champion and BMF titleholder  Max Holloway .  Poirier held two wins over the Hawaiian but the third time was a charm for Holloway
