Filed under: News , UFC , Videos Cub Swanson has been on one of the biggest tears in the featherweight division, and if he extends it on Saturday, a long hoped-for title shot could await. Swanson (20-5 MMA, 5-1 UFC) is set to take on Jeremy Stephens (23-9 MMA, 10-8 UFC) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 44, which will be the UFC’s debut in San Antonio. A win will give him six straight, and in his current five-fight run, he has four knockouts and three fight-night bonus awards. In the second fight of his streak, Swanson met Ross Pearson at UFC on FX 4 in Atlantic City, N.J. To open up the televised main card, Swanson went toe-to-toe with Pearson in the first round. But in the second, he was in a bit of trouble against the Brit.
