In the UFC 201 main event, Woodley ended Robbie Lawler ’s reign atop the 170-pound division in emphatic fashion with the fastest stoppage in UFC welterweight title fight history . The end came via a right hand that landed flush on Lawler’s cheekbone, ending the fight just 2:12 into Round 1. In the co-main event, Poland’s Karolina Kowalkiewicz remained unbeaten, earning a split decision win over the favored Rose Namajunas , possibly setting up Kowalkiewicz with a title fight against her countrywoman, strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
