Filed under: News , UFC The UFC visits yet another new market on Saturday when the octagon sets down in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, for UFC Fight Night 89. The long wait for a UFC card in Canada’s capital city may prove worth it because this card is headlined by a crackerjack of a welterweight bout. In that matchup, Canada’s own Rory MacDonald , following a loss to champion Robbie Lawler in the kind of fight that fans will be talking about for years to come, faces Stephen Thompson , who is coming off a memorable victory over former champ Johny Hendricks. In the co-main event, the man who epitomizes the anyone-anywhere-anytime fighter attitude, Donald Cerrone , makes his second appearance as a welterweight and meets Patrick Cote . This is Cote’s seventh fight at 170 pounds following time spent at light heavyweight and middleweight. UFC Fight Night 89 takes place at The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
