Derek Brunson LAS VEGAS – Derek Brunson probably was in his rights to get all up in Ed Herman’s face after he basically blew him up at UFC 183. After all, Brunson said, Herman had been leading the charge with the trash talk leading up to their fight this past Saturday. But Brunson put a quick stop to that – as in 36 seconds quick with a TKO that left Herman in a crumpled heap on the canvas. The two were fighting in a makeup bout after having their UFC on FOX 13 fight scrapped just hours before they should’ve made their walks to the cage. Brunson got sick backstage, and said Herman chased him down in the hotel later that night to tell him he was scared. After Brunson (13-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) tore through Herman (22-11 MMA, 9-8 UFC) on Saturday, he said there was no need to talk any trash retrospectively.
