The veteran fighter, who first joined the UFC in 2007 after a stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 5,” entered The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale on Friday while stuck in a four-fight skid that left him winless since June 2012. But after dropping down to featherweight and surviving a good ol’ fashioned brawl with Fernanda Bruno (15-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC), Maynard (12-5-1 MMA, 10-5-1 UFC) emerged victorious via unanimous decision.
