TULSA – In all fairness, Ben Saunders probably should’ve been fighting a little bit farther up the card, rather than languishing as the second bout at UFC Fight Night 49. But after his performance on Saturday, he may not need to worry about that low of placement anymore. Saunders (17-6-2 MMA, 5-3 UFC) returned to the UFC after more than four years outside the company and pulled off a rare omoplata submission of promotional newcomer Chris Heatherly (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). The win came in the second fight at UFC Fight Night 49, which took place at BOK Center in Tulsa.
