In spite of a late third-round scare, Meunier (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) outpointed Australia’s Richard Walsh (9-5 MMA, 2-4 UFC) to earn his first UFC win and bounce back from an inaugural submission loss to Colby Covington – the first of his professional MMA career. Coming off back-to-back April and May scraps when he took the Covington scrap, Meunier did what he needed to get his foot in the octagon.
