When Daniel Cormier meets bitter rival Jon Jones next month, no doubt one of the story lines from the Jones side will be that he never lost the light heavyweight title. But regardless of how we got to where we are, there’s no denying that Daniel Cormier (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) is the UFC’s 205-pound champion. For the first time in more than five years, Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) will have to walk out first when he tries to get the belt back in the UFC 197 main event. UFC 197 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
