Albert Tumenov claims he has the best striking in the UFC, but Stephen Thompson might have something to say about that. Tumenov (17-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) would like to find out, though, and that’s why he’s decided to call for a matchup with Thompson (12-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) after “Wonderboy” scored a first-round knockout of former UFC welterweight champ Johny Hendricks this past Saturday in UFC Fight Night 82’s main event. “Einstein” took to his official Instagram account to make the formal challenge and said a potential matchup between the two striking specialists would be “poetry in (the) octagon.” Thompson, who’s currently ranked No. 13 but will make a substantial jump to No. 5 when the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA welterweight rankings are updated later today, announced himself as a potential 170-pound title contender with a dominant performance and upset of Hendricks
