MIAMI – Alex Pereira is confident he’s just days away from making Israel Adesanya a thing of the past. The UFC middleweight champion takes on Adesanya (23-2 MMA, 12-2 UFC) in an immediate rematch in the main event of UFC 287, which takes place Saturday at Kaseya Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+. Pereira (7-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) defeated Adesanya by fifth-round TKO in November at UFC 281. It was the third meeting in combat sports, with the Brazilian having defeated Adesanya twice in kickboxing.
