Alistair Overeem still a UFC fighter despite skid

UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem ‘s standing in the promotion’s big-man division is buying him another chance to turn around a losing streak, according to the Dana White. The UFC president told FOX Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight” that the former Strikeforce champ won’t be released from his contract despite losing three of five appearances since transitioning to the octagon. “He’s still ranked in the top-10,” White said.
