Bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling (14-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) is in need of an opponent willing to step up on a little more than four weeks’ notice. MMAjunkie today confirmed with UFC officials that injury has forced Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Rani Yahya (24-9 MMA, 9-3 UFC) to withdraw from the planned UFC Fight Night 123 meeting, and the promotion is currently seeking a new opponent. Featuring a featherweight contest between Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega, UFC Fight Night 123 takes place Dec. 9 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.
